Caldwell, OH 43724 This annual event depicts frontierlife in the 1800's and has been recognized with the Ohio Historical Society's Education Award. The annual event is held the last Saturday weekend of September on the Noble County Fairground, which is right at Caldwell I-77 Exit 25. The festival is held in Heritage Park at the upper end of the Fairgrounds and features a one-room school, log cabin, church and covered bridge that take a page right out of Little House On the Prairie's Walnut Grove. The 2004 festival will be held on September 25 and 26. Typical features include horse drawn wagon rides; live entertainment; many Appalachian crafters with demonstrations of pottery, quilting, hat making, spinning, weaving, blacksmithing, moonshine; and many food satnds featuring home made ice-cream, roasted chicken, chili, sausage and lemonade.
