The Hart Brothers & Northwest Territory
Date: Saturday, April 09, 2011
Athens County's own The Hart Brothers joined by Northwest Territory. The Hart Brothers Band was formed in 1979 by Myron "Pete" Hart, Heamon "Tib" Hart and Arman "Sam" Hart. The three remained the nucleus of the band until Sam passed away unexpectedly in 1983. In the years before and since Sam passed away, several musicians have played in the band and contributed to the groups' unique style of what we call "modern traditional bluegrass". They currently play 30-35 weekends a year! Since 1989, NORTHWEST TERRITORY has been entertaining audiences with its own unique style and enthusiasm. Bluegrass, gospel, country, fiddle tunes, breakdowns and original compositions are all part of the band's repertoire. Don't miss a great night of bluegrass!
